Join Fishkill Creek Watershed Alliance for a creek walk & clean up at a spectacular Rocky Glen in Beacon NY! We will talk about creek and riparian buffer health, industrial pollution legacy, public access, dam removals and so much more. Look at a working hydroelectric Groveville Mill dam and an obsolete one at a former Texaco Research Center. Walk a part of the future Beacon-Hopewell Junction rail trail and discuss local and regional conservation efforts. Share what Fishkill Creek Watershed Alliance has been working on. And do some trail clean up along the way. Bring sturdy shoes, some terrain is a bit steep. Kids are welcome!
